Merry Christmas wishes from Danny

Hi everyone, it´s Danny, I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope you enjoy your holidays. This first term at school has gone by so fast and I look forward to seeing you again in 2012!

It's almost Christmas!

Danny, our language assistant made this beautiful Christmas presentation. He explained how they celebrate Christmas in England: the traditions, the Christmas decorations, the important dates and the Christmas dinner.

All the children loved the presentation and asked lots of questions to Danny. They also explained their catalan traditions to him.

Let's go shopping!

We love shopping! We are learning the names of the shops and how to ask for the price. It is very important when travelling. We played shopping in class. It is very funny! Here's a typical dialogue in a shop:

Hello!
Hello. How much is the... ball?
It's 2 pounds, please.
Here you are.
Thank you!
Goodbye!
Bye!

At the restaurant

We practise in class the food as in a restaurant. There are lots of food in the menu! It is very funny.

Our hobbies

The students of 4th level are studying the hobbies and the activities they like doing in their free time. They are also learning how to say what they like and what they don't like.

In questions. Ex:

Do you like "doing karate"? Yes, I do / No, I don't

In sentences. Ex:

I like swimming and taking photos, but I don't like reading comics.

They have brought photos and images to class of their favourite activites and they have made 3 posters with the help of Danny, our language assistant. Here you can see the photos:

Well done boys and girls and thank you for your participation and interest! And thank you Danny for your help with the posters!

Let's trick or treat!

Danny, our language assistant, explained to us how they celebrate Halloween in England. Boys and girls dress up with masks and costumes and they knock on the doors and they say "Trick or Treat". People usually give them sweets. We like this tradition so today at school we did trick or treat. You can see some pictures here:
